1. Vleesbaai Beaches:
The Vleesbaai swimming beaches are spectacular and safe (we are not aware of any shark attacks being reported at Vleesbaai). The long pristine beaches offer soul satisfying walks. Stroll the sandy beaches or discover incredible tidal communities. Tidal pools are home to a wide variety of sea life.
Kloofsig is in close proximity to the beach and from the corner of Kloofsig, closest to the beach, it is approximately a two minute walk partly on a wooden walkway.
2. Vleesbaai amenities:
Vleesbaai has a convenience store (including a petrol pump) and a community hall where the dutch reformed church of Mossel Bay conducts Sunday services.
There is a restaurant near Vleesbaai called “Stoepsit” and closer to Vleesbaai a farm stall called “Padstal” which is open on weekends and holidays. The farm stall also offers paintball games.
Vleesbaai is 35 km from Mossel Bay and 65km from George airport. The Post office is located in Heiderand, Mossel Bay and the nearest private hospital ( www.lifehealthcare.co.za ) is in Mossel Bay.
3. Things to do around Vleesbaai
There are many activities to do in the area including the simple holiday pleasures of sunbathing, swimming, cycling, jogging, beach walks, bird watching, fishing, dolphin and whale watching.
Vleesbaai is close to the Franschmanshoek conservation area, where many nature lovers and fishermen go for a break away.
Boggoms Bay (8km) has a country style golf course and tennis courts.Many other world class golf courses are in the area including, Mosselbay (35km), Pinnacle Point (30km) and Fancourt (89km).

The temperature averages around 23 deg in winter and 25 deg in summer. The climate is considered the second mildest weather in the world (second only to Hawaii).
